Some service and maintenance safety precautions

  • Never service the windrower while it is running
  • Allow components to cool to the touch if the windrower has been running and is up to operating temperature
  • Allow enough space for the service procedure and tools
  • Place the windrower on a firm, level surface
  • Confirm that the windrower is in N-Detent position with the steering wheel centered before servicing
  • Always remove the key from the ignition before servicing
  • Place a mark out tag or sign on the steering wheel to warn others that the windrower is being serviced
  • Block the wheels to keep windrower from moving during drivetrain, wheel and tire procedures

These precautions are not all inclusive but intended as a reminder. Contact your dealer if you have any questions concerning service or maintenance of your machine.
