A - Float Pin Storage Location
B - Float Pin Engagement Location
To prevent damage to the lift system when lowering header
lift linkages without a header or weight box attached to windrower,
ensure that float engagement pin is installed in storage location
(A) and NOT installed at hole location (B).
CAUTION: Lowering header lift linkage without a header or weight
box attached may damage lift system if Float Engagement Pin is installed
incorrectly.

B - Hook
C - Pin
D - Boot
E - Header Leg
If necessary, adjust position of the hydraulic center link
(A) so that the hook (B) is above the attachment pin on the header
by one of the following methods:
A. Without the self-alignment kit, re-locate the pin (C) at
the frame linkage as required to raise the center link.
B. If the optional center link self-alignment kit is installed:
Start the engine and activate the REEL UP switch on the GSL to raise
the center-link..
-
Slowly drive windrower forward so that boots (D) enter header
legs (E). Continue to drive slowly forward until lift linkages contact
support plates in header legs and header nudges forward.
-
Confirm that lift linkages are properly engaged in header legs,
contacting support plates.
-
Connect center-link.
Hydraulic Link
Activate HEADER TILT cylinder switches on GSL to extend or retract
center-link cylinder so that the hook lines up with the header attachment
pin.
CAUTION: Stop windrower engine and remove key before making
adjustments to machine. A child or even a pet could engage the drive.
-
Activate HEADER TILT cylinder switches on GSL to extend or retract
center-link cylinder so that the hook lines up with the header attachment
pin.
-
Stop engine and remove key from ignition.
-
Push down on rod end of link cylinder until hook engages pin
on header and is locked.
-
Check that center-link is locked onto header by pulling upward
on rod end of cylinder.
-
Proceed to step 5 in the next procedure. (Mechanical Link)
IMPORTANT: Hook release must be down to enable self-locking
mechanism. If the release is open (UP) manually push it down after
hook engages header pin.

cylinders require re-phasing. Proceed as follows:
-
Press and hold the HEADER UP switch until both cylinders stop
moving.
-
Continue to hold the switch for three to four seconds.
-
Cylinders are phased.
CAUTION: Check to confirm that bystanders have cleared the area.
