W150 Field To Transport

CAUTION: STOP engine and remove key from ignition before leaving operator’s seat for any reason.

1. Set the header on the ground. (field position)

2. Disconnect hydraulic and electrical connections.

3. Store left side hydraulic hoses and electrical cable into the storage position. See the header operator’s manual.

4. Release the right side multi-link and place into storage on windrower. See the header operator’s manual.

   Retrieve temporary lift pin from storage location on weight box and install into rear hole (A) at the top of the lift arms for additional lift height for transpost wheel deployment.

   CAUTION: To avoid bodily injury from fall of raised header. ALWAYS engage header lift cylinder stops when working on or around raised header.

6. Start engine and raise header to full height.

7. Stop engine and engage safety locks on lift cylinders.

8. Deploy header slow speed transport system. See header operator’s manual.

   Remove float pin from engaged position (B) and insert in storage location (C). Secure with lynch pin.

11. Release the safety lock on the header lift cylinders.

12. Start engine and lower header down onto the transport wheels.

    Use the HEADER TILT switches to release load on the cylinder, if necessary.

14. Shut the engine off and remove key from ignition.

    To unlock the center-link, pull up on latch (E) and locate latch into notch (F) on top of hook.

16. Lift center-link off header pin.

17. Slowly back windrower away from header, shut engine OFF and remove key from ignition.

18. Attach header transport hitch to header.

20. Push down until latch (J) captures the end (G).

21. Secure latch (J) with clevis pin (K).

    Remove the L-pin from end (L) of aft section, if installed.

    Fully insert L-pin (N) in upper hole and turn pin to lock it. Secure with ring pin (O).

25. IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to the lift system when lowering header lift linkages without a header or weight box attached to windrower, ensure that float engagement pin is installed in storage location (C) and not installed at hole location (B).

    Make the electrical connection at the joint (Q) and at the header wheel (P).

26. Drive windrower so that windrower lift arms are positioned into the weight box pockets.

27. NOTE: Pins were previously removed from the header lift linkage lower end.

    Raise lift arms slightly and install locking pins (D) into pockets and through windrower header lift linkages. Secure with retaining pin.

    Route the weight box harness (R) to the electrical connector at the left side lift linkage and connect harness to connector.

29. Raise lift arms fully, shut engine OFF and remove key from ignition.

    Start engine and press HEADER DOWN switch (B) on GSL to lower lift arms until the lift arm floats up away from the linkage at the rear of the lift arm.

    Attach slow speed transport hitch to the weight box tongue with drawbar pin. Secure with retaining pin and attach safety chain.

33. Connect hitch harness to electrical socket at front of weight box.

    Remove the temporary lift pins (A). These pins should be loose in lift arm. Place the pins in storage holes on weight box.
