Oil level in main gear case:

Oil level must be at least flush with bottom of sight glass (B).

Packer Gear Case

Oil level in packer gear case:

Oil level must be at least flush with bottom of sight glass (B).

Fill oil at filler plug (A) up to bottom of the hole at the check plug (B). Drain oil at oil drain plug (C).

Upper Knotter Gear Case

Capacity: 2.1 L (0.6 gal)

L1533 Large Square Baler—Capacity:

Capacity: 0.8 kg (1.8 lb)

Fill oil at filler plug (A) up to bottom of the hole at the check plug (B). Drain oil at oil drain plug (C).

Prechopper Gear Drive (If Equipped)

Check oil level.

   A - Fill Plug

   B - Check Level Plug

   Remove and retain check level plug (B). If oil comes out of the gap, level is okay; reinstall plug. If no oil comes out of the gap, fill gear case. (See next step.)

2. Fill gear case with oil:
   1. Remove and retain the fill plug (A).
   2. Remove and retain the check level plug (B).
   3. Replenish oil until a little comes out of the gap.
   4. Reinstall the check level plug (B).
   5. Reinstall the fill plug (A).
