   Open right-hand gull wing door and remove shields if necessary.

2. Verify specification by measuring distance over coils of springs (A) or (B).

   L1533 Rotor Chain Tension Spring	Distance	155 mm (6.1 in)
   L1524 and L1534 Rotor Chain Tension Spring	Distance	160 mm (6.3 in)

3. Adjust if necessary:

   • Loosen locking nut
   • Adjust spring coil distance
   • Tighten locking nut against the adjusting nut
   
   

4. Replace any removed shields.
