Make sure that main drive slip clutch is free to slip. If clutch
does not slip, damage to power train can occur. (See Adjust Friction
Clutch in Service section.)

If prechopper is equipped, perform the following:

Wipe off grease on cylinder rods.

Ensure that machine is greased.

Check all knives and fixings, and replace if necessary.

Ensure that all nuts and cap screws are tightened to specification.s
-
Retension belts and check condition.
-
Check belt guard condition and ensure that it is firmly secured.

Ensure that all guards are in place.
-
If equipped with pickup slip clutch, ensure that slip clutch
is free to slip.

Confirm that gear case is at proper level on dipstick.

Confirm that complete machine is lubricated properly.
-
To push clean grease through all the fittings.
-
Manually grease all fittings that the pump does not service.
-
Check tires for proper inflation.
-
Tighten and torque all necessary hardware.
-
Review Operator’s Manual and perform any necessary adjustments.

On machine with hydraulic knotter cleaning fan, check blower
air hose for wear and tear.

Remove the protection fluid from the knotters and knotter components.
-
Check fire extinguisher and follow manufacturers recommendation
for inspection and maintenance.
