Adjust Pickup Height

  1. Operating pickup too close to ground can cause excessive tooth breakage.

    A - Selector Valve

    B - Ball Valve

    E - Bracket (2 used)

    G - Pickup Teeth

    Connect hydraulic hose of pickup and jack stand selector valve (A) to tractor SCV.



  2. Open ball valve (B) at end of hose near tractor.

  3. Rotate selector valve lever (C) to open position as shown.

  4. Fully raise pickup.

  5. Remove spring pin (D).

  6. Move bracket (E) to raise or lower gauge wheel (F) at desired position.

  7. Install spring pin (D).

  8. Repeat Steps 5—7 on opposite side of baler.

  9. Lower pickup and check that tip of pickup teeth (G) are near recommended height of 20—30 mm (0.78—1.18 in.)1 from ground.

  10. If necessary, repeat Steps 4—7 until desired setting is obtained.

1 Dimension of 20—30 mm (0.78—1.18 in.) is a recommendation since correct value depends on soil and crop conditions.
