Adjust Pickup Float Springs

Pickup float is at recommended adjustment when it can be lifted by hand with approximately 445 N (100 lb.-force). Verify spring tension is same on both sides of pickup.

A - Valve Lever

B - Locking Plate

Two springs, located on pickup hydraulic cylinders, control float of pickup.

  1. Rotate valve lever (A) to open position as shown.

  2. Fully raise pickup.

  3. Rotate valve lever (A) to closed position.

  4. Close ball valve at the end of hose near tractor SCV.

  5. Adjust locking plate:

    • Move locking plate (B) toward cylinder rod to increase spring tension.
    • Move locking plate (B) toward cylinder base to decrease spring tension.
