A - Spring (2 used per tensioner)
B - Distance
Slack arm tension is maintained by a distance over coils
of springs (A):
-
Tighten nuts for each slack arm evenly to shorten distance (B)
of springs (A) to increase twine tension.
-
Loosen nuts for each slack arm evenly to lengthen distance (B)
of springs (A) to decrease twine tension.
Set slack arm tension to desired specification using a spring
scale attached to end of arm near roller.
