A - Valve lever

B - Spring pin

C - Bracket

D - Gauge wheel

E - Tooth

1 - Pickup position

Operating pickup too close to ground can cause excessive tooth breakage.

Adjust pickup working height as follows:

  1. Connect hydraulic hose of the valve to relevant tractor selective control valve.

  2. Open valve at end of hose at tractor side (not illustrated).

  3. Place valve lever (A) to position (1) as shown.

  4. Fully raise pickup with relevant selective control valve lever.

  5. Remove spring pin (B) from pin.

  6. Place bracket (C) to raise or lower gauge wheel (D) at desired position.

  7. Install spring pin (B) on pin.

  8. Repeat step 3 to 5 on other side of baler.

  9. Lower pickup and check that tip of pickup teeth (E) is about 20—30 mm (0.78—1.18 in) above ground.

The dimension of 20—30 mm (0.78—1.18 in) is just a recommendation since the correct value depends on the soil and crop conditions.

  10. Repeat step 3 to 7, if necessary.
