Shut off tractor engine before detaching telescoping driveline. Entanglement in rotating driveline can cause serious injury or death.

Disconnect driveline from tractor PTO shaft.

  2. Move jackstand from its storage location and lower it to ground. Extend jackstand as necessary using hydraulics to detach machine tongue from tractor drawbar.

  3. Disconnect baler from tractor drawbar, wagon, or trailer hitch.

  4. Disconnect emergency brake tether rope from tractor.

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before applying pressure. Search for leaks with a piece of cardboard. Protect hands and body from high-pressure fluids.

If an accident occurs, see a doctor immediately. Any fluid injected into the skin must be surgically removed within a few hours or gangrene may result. Doctors unfamiliar with this type of injury should reference a knowledgeable medical source. Such information is available from Deere & Company Medical Department in Moline, Illinois, U.S.A.

Disconnect hydraulic hoses and electrical harnesses from tractor receptacles.

  6. Disconnect hydraulic brake hose or pneumatic brake hoses.

  7. Store all hoses and wiring harnesses on tongue support.

  8. Carefully drive tractor away from baler.
