Practice Safe Service Procedures

To help prevent personal injury caused by unexpected movement, be sure to service machine on a level surface.

Before servicing or adjusting mower connected to a tractor:

  1. Lower mower to ground (cutterbar horizontal).
  2. Engage tractor parking brake and place transmission in “Park”.
  3. Disengage PTO.
  4. Shut off engine and remove key.
  5. Wait until all moving parts have stopped.

Before detaching mower from tractor, lower parking latch to engaged position. (See Detaching Mower From Tractor in Attaching and Detaching section).

Before servicing or adjusting mower when not attached to a tractor:

  1. Place shop stands under hitch frame and hitch pins.
  2. Place shop dollies under cutterbar, if necessary.
