Unplug Pickup
-
MegaWide™ Plus pickups require low engine rpm to reset
pickup slip clutch. Also, bump the PTO on and off to work the plug
through.
Back clear of the windrow.
-
Unplug the pickup using the following procedure corresponding
to the pickup model being used:
-
MegaWide HC2 Pickup. Lower the tractor engine speed and bump the PTO on and
off to slowly compress and feed the crop through. If the crop does
not feed through, lower the drop floor and knives (if engaged) and
bump the PTO on and off to work the plug through.
-
MegaWide™ Plus Pickup. Lower the tractor engine speed and
bump the PTO on and off to slowly compress and feed the crop through.
-
Do not prolong operating a raised pickup to clear
the baler or the pickup drive can be damaged.
Raise and lower the pickup a couple of times by moving the tractor
selector valve.
-
If the baler does not clear, shut off the PTO and the tractor.
(See Unplug Baler Under Power in this section.)
-
If the baler clears, return the pickup to operating height and
continue baling.
