Remove and Install Knife

1. Turn the tractor ignition key to the ON position. Do not start the tractor engine.

   Select the Net Actuator Extend softkey to return the counterknife to the up position.

6. To avoid personal injury from unexpected knife movement, disconnect net wrap actuator wire connector or power plug when performing adjustment or working in area.

   A - Wire Harness Connector

   Turn the tractor ignition key to the OFF position and remove key. Disconnect the ISOBUS baler plug from the tractor ISO socket or disconnect the wire harness connector (A) from the net wrap actuator.

   Remove brush (A) from the knife by removing nuts (B) and washers.

   A - Bolt, Washer, and Nut (4 used)

   Remove carriage bolts, washers, and nuts (A) and remove the knife from the knife bracket.

9. Repair or replace the knife if necessary.

10. Install the knife with the beveled surface up and facing the rear of the machine.

11. Install carriage bolts, washers, and nuts (A) with the heads facing the front of the machine. Tighten to specification.

    Knife-to-Knife Bracket	Torque	55 N·m (40 lb·ft)

12. Check for proper contact between the knife and the counterknife. (See Adjust Net Wrap Counterknife in this section.)

13. Install the brush using previously removed washers and nuts. (See Install And Adjust Net Wrap Brush in this section.)

14. Connect the net actuator wire connector and the ISOBUS baler plug to the tractor ISO socket.

15. Make sure to move the net wrap counterknife fully downward to the home position. If the baler is operated with the counterknife at the up position, net feeds continuously during baling.

    Turn the tractor ignition key to the ON position.

    Select the net actuator retract softkey (A) and move the surface wrap counterknife downward to the home position.

20. Turn the tractor ignition key to the OFF position and remove key.

21. Close the net wrap cover.
