Adjust Bale Density

To allow the bale density knob to be turned more easily, close the gate and lower the belt tension arm.

B - Locking Ring

The tension valve has been preset at the factory. To reduce maintenance and increase the life of the baler, operate the baler at the factory setting for a break-in period of approximately 50 bales.

To check the factory setting:

  1. Loosen locking ring (B).

  2. Turn knob (A) clockwise until seated.

  3. Turn knob (A) counterclockwise two turns.

  4. Tighten locking ring (B).

After the break-in period, adjust bale density as follows:

  1. Loosen locking ring (B).

  2. Turn knob (A) counterclockwise for lighter bales or clockwise for heavier bales.

  3. Tighten the locking ring.
