Dimension (A) is an initial float spring setting for pickup tooth-to-ground clearance of 25—50 mm (1—2 in).

More spring force is needed if operating with pickup tooth-to-ground clearance above 50 mm (2 in).

Less spring force is needed if the pickup does not lower to the desired operating height or bounces too much and leaves crop.

To adjust float springs:

  1. Loosen lock nut (B).

  2. Turn cap screw (C) until dimension (A) between spring plug (D) and anchor (E) is attained.

    Dimension (A)

    460R (Both Sides)

    75 mm (3 in)

    560R (Both Sides)

    55 mm (2 in)

  3. Tighten lock nut (B).
