Tractor—Baler Issues Resulting in Automation Deactivation

If the automation program for the tractor—baler combination detects an issue while operating in either level 1 or level 2 automation, it deactivates the operation in the Automation Mode. The display shows an Automation Deactivate Code on the screen to inform the operator why it cannot be activated or why it was deactivated.

The issue identified must be resolved before operation in the Automation Mode can be used. (See Operating Baler is Automation Mode section.)

The following pages include a list of automation deactivation messages and actions which can correct the issue defined in the message. (See Diagnostic Trouble Code List in this section for baler or monitor issues when operating without automation.)

Gate open timeout.1	Pull forward and resume B-Wrap automation within 15 seconds

Oil level low.3	Refill tractor with oil.
Operator is no longer on the seat.1	Operator must be on the seat to operate the baler in automation mode.
Over-speed fault.3	Reduce engine speed.
Pause mode.1	Resume automation within two minutes.
Pause mode, tractor speed is 0.1	Unload bale and resume automation mode.
Power out of range.3	See your John Deere dealer or qualified service provider.
PTO not calibrated.3	See your John Deere dealer or qualified service provider.
PTO not enabled in current gear.3	Check your tractor DTC.
