It is recommended to position the filler plates in the up position during operation with precutter knives.

Knife Slot Filler Plate

If precutter is not being used for extended periods of time, install filler plates.

Filler plates help keep knife slots free of buildup and pinned crop which can reduce capacity when not using the precutter.

Install knife filler plates in the same way as precutter knives (see Remove and Install Precutter Knives in this section).

Filler plates can be installed along with cutting knives to prevent buildup when using the precutter in a configuration for longer length of cut.
