Delivery

The following checklist is a reminder of important information which must be conveyed to the customer at the time the baler is delivered. Check off each item as it is fully explained to the customer.

□ John Deere warranty.

□ Safe and correct operation and service.

□ Daily and periodic inspections.

□ Servicing machine regularly and correctly.

□ Explain proper bale handling procedures.

□ Advise customer to use safety chain.

□ Advise use of baler fire extinguisher.

□ Explain correct ASABE standard dimensions for PTO hookup.

□ Give the Operator's Manual to the customer and encourage customer to read entire manual.

□ Advise customer of safety precautions that must be observed while using this baler.

□ Advise the customer never to discharge bales on sloping ground and if moving bales with a tractor loader, the loader MUST have a grapple or bale spear.

□ Advise the customer to set out front and rear wheels on tractors having adjustable tread width to avoid driving over hay. (See PREPARING the TRACTOR section.)

□ Review information on how to prepare the baler. (See PREPARING the BALER section in Operator's Manual.)

□ Review procedures for attaching or detaching from tractor including required drawbar shield. (See ATTACHING and DETACHING section.)

□ Recommended transporting information including latching doors during transport. (See TRANSPORTING section.)

□ Make customer aware of all optional equipment offered for this machine. (See ATTACHMENTS section in Operator's Manual.)

□ Recommended lubricants. (See LUBRICATION and MAINTENANCE section.)

□ Review service intervals and lubrication points. (See LUBRICATION and MAINTENANCE section.)

□ Review all adjustments. (See SERVICE section in Operator's Manual.)

□ Check bale diameter display. Actual bale diameter must match monitor bale diameter display. (See ADJUST BALE DIAMETER DISPLAY in Operating the Baler section.)

□ Recommended machine storage. (See STORAGE section.)

□ Have customer record machine serial number in the Specifications section.

□ John Deere parts and service.

□ If equipped, verify in field that Automation Mode is functioning properly.

□ Remove and file this page.
