Normal position is recommended for
most baling conditions.
-
Recommended with the bale ramp. Bale diameter must be reduced
depending on the tractor drawbar height.
-
Pickup teeth touch the ground when the pickup is lowered. Recommended
to adjust height with at least 25 mm (1 in) ground clearance.
If wheel spindle position needs changed, see Adjust Wheel Spindles
in this section.
Raised position is recommended for
cornstalks, straw crops with tall stubble, or soft ground conditions.
(See Bale Cornstalks in the Operating the Baler section.)
-
Recommended with the bale ramp.
-
Pickup teeth do not touch the ground with the pickup lowered.
-
If the pickup will not lower or bounces excessively, adjust
pickup float springs to provide less force (float). (See Adjust Pickup
Float Springs in Service—Baler section.)
