Unplug Pickup

  1. Back clear of windrow.

  2. Follow unplugging procedure for the correct pickup:

    • MegaWide™ HC2: Lower the tractor engine rpm and turn the PTO on and off slowly compressing and feeding the crop through. If the crop does not feed through, lower the drop floor and turn the PTO on and off to work the plug through. It is not recommended to disengage the knives since the knives automatically retract when the floor is fully lowered.
    • MegaWide™ Plus: Lower the tractor engine rpm and turn the PTO on and off slowly compressing and feeding the crop through.
    • Regular Pickup: Run the tractor engine rpm at 1500—2100 rpm and engage the PTO to pull the plug through.

Do not prolong operating a raised pickup to clear the baler or the pickup drive can be damaged.

  3. Raise and lower pickup a couple times by moving tractor selector valve.

  4. If the baler does not clear, shut off PTO and tractor.

  5. If the baler clears, return the pickup to operating height and continue baling.
