Slip Clutch Alert

False slip indication

Slip alarm sounds without PTO or pickup clutch slipping.

Check pickup sensor by viewing rpm on channel 205. (See Slip Clutch Alert Pickup RPM Sensor in Operating the Baler section)

Check PTO Speed on the channel 204 is properly set. (See Slip Clutch Alert PTO Speed Sensor in Operating the Baler section)

Slip alert feature can be turned off. (See Turn On and Off Net Wrap, Slip Clutch Alert, and Variable Core in Service section)

 

Pickup rpm is higher than PTO sensor rpm

Reverse orange and brown terminals inside connector.

One of the clutches slip but the slip alarm does not sound

Monitor not receiving PTO sensor input.

Check PTO sensor by viewing rpm on channel 204. (See Slip Clutch Alert PTO Speed Sensor in Operating the Baler section)

 

Both sensors have not been activated.

Check that both sensors are activated and PTO set at proper speed. (See Slip Clutch Alert PTO Speed Sensor in Operating the Baler section)

Twine or net application does not correct for slower speed

Improper sensor adjustment, faulty sensor, or broken wires.

Check PTO sensor by viewing rpm on channel 204. (See Slip Clutch Alert PTO Speed Sensor in Operating the Baler section)

Check PTO speed on the channel 204 is properly set. (See Slip Clutch Alert PTO Speed Sensor in Operating the Baler section)

Pickup sensor is damaged

Sprocket on the clutch contact the sensor.

Adjust gap between the sensor and the sprocket.

PTO sensor is damaged

PTO clutch contacts sensor.

Tighten or replace PTO driveline mounting screws.

Check the gear case shaft end play.

Repair or replace gear case.

Adjust gap between sensor and PTO clutch. (See Slip Clutch Alert PTO Speed Sensor in Operating the Baler section)
