To maintain drive protection, disassemble and clean
dirt between the pressure plate and the disk spring. Dirt can become
trapped between the pressure plate and the disk spring not allowing
the disk spring to flatten.
If the distance between the rear plate and the tab
on the pressure plate is outside the specifications, the slip clutch
will not slip. Damage to the drive components can occur or the clutch
can slip too easily.
Failure to follow the order of the
following steps can damage the clutch.
Clutch can be adjusted while on the machine.
