Remove and Install Knife

1. Turn tractor key to ON position. Turn monitor-controller ON.

2. Ensure that monitor is in NET mode. Turn monitor OFF.

   C - EXTEND Key

   Press and hold COUNTER key (A) while turning the monitor-controller ON. CH001 appears on the digital display.

4. To advance to CH018, continue to hold the COUNTER key and press PLUS key (B). Release COUNTER key (A).

5. To move the counterknife angle to the up position, press and hold the EXTEND key (C).

6. To avoid personal injury from unexpected knife movement, disconnect the net wrap actuator wire connector or power plug when performing adjustment or working in area.

   Turn monitor-controller selector switch to OFF. Turn tractor key to OFF position. Remove key. Disconnect the monitor-controller power plug from the power source or disconnect the connector (A).

   Remove brush (A) from knife by removing four nuts (B) and washers.

   A - Carriage Bolt, Washer, and Nut (4 used)

   Remove four carriage bolts, washers, and nuts (A) on each end of the cutoff knife. Remove knife from the knife bracket.

9. Repair or replace if necessary.

10. Install knife with the beveled surface up and facing rear of machine.

11. Install carriage bolts, washers, and nuts (A) so the carriage bolts face the front of the machine. Tighten to specification.

    Knife-to-Knife Bracket	Torque	55 N·m (40 lb·ft)

12. Check proper knife-to-counterknife angle contact. (See Adjust Net Wrap Counterknife in this section.)

13. Install brush to knife by using four washers and nuts. Do not tighten at this time.

14. Install brush. (See Install and Adjust Net Wrap Brush in this section.)

15. Connect net actuator wire connector.

16. Make sure to move the net wrap counterknife fully downward to the home position. If the baler is operated with the counterknife at the up position, the net feeds continuously during baling.

    Turn tractor key to ON position.

17. To move the counterknife fully downward to the home position, press the WRAP key on the monitor-controller.

18. Turn tractor key to OFF position. Remove key. Turn OFF monitor-controller.

19. Close the net wrap cover.
