Tire Installation and Wheel Nut Torque

  1. Install wheels with valve stems toward inside. Incorrect assembly can cause wheel nuts to loosen.

    Exceeding recommended tire pressure can damage baler frame.

    A - Valve Stem

    Install wheel with valve stem (A) toward inside. Fasten with six 1/2 in. nuts.


  2. Whenever a wheel has been removed and installed, check torque after 1 hour of operation. Wheel nuts must be tightened to specifications using an alternating sequence.

  3. Verify tire inflation pressure.

  4. Repeat procedure on opposite side.

1 For making bales at maximum weight and density, inflate 11L-14, 8 PR tires to 248 kPa (2.5 bar) (36 psi).
