If spring has been replaced or stop nuts have been removed, adjust spring as follows:

  1. Close gate and lower tension arm completely.

  2. Remove any wrappage or buildup on rolls.

  3. With chamber empty, gate shut and tension arm completely down, briefly engage PTO.

  4. If forming belts are installed go to Step 6.

    Without forming belts; Adjust stop nuts (A) until dimension (B) is within specifications.

    SpringDistance905 mm ± 1.5 mm (35-5/8 in. ± 1/16 in.)

  5. Adjust spring after forming belts are installed. (Refer to Step 6.)

    A - Gap

    With forming belts installed, adjust stop nuts until gap (A) is between nut and pivot to within specifications.
    Nut-to-PivotGap8—12 mm (0.315—0.472 in.)
