Replacing Bale Diameter Sensor

   Shield Removed

   A - Shield Nuts

   B - Shield

   C - Wiring Connector

   D - Sensor

   Turn monitor-controller selector OFF. Turn tractor key to OFF position. Remove key.

2. Sensor is located on right-hand side of tension arm.

   Loosen shield nuts (A) and remove shield (B).

3. Disconnect wiring connector (C) from sensor (D).

   B - Mounting Strap

   C - O-Ring (2 used)

   D - Sensor

   E - Washer (2 used)

   F - Mounting Screw (2 used)

   Remove parts (A—F). Replace sensor (D).

   A - Grooves

   Install new sensor in reverse order of removal using the following special instructions:
   • Make sure O-rings are inserted in grooves (A).
   • Adjust sensor. (See REPLACING and ADJUSTING BALE DIAMETER SENSOR MOUNTING BRACKET and ADJUSTING BALE DIAMETER SENSOR [CHANNEL 005] in this section.)
