A - Brake Band

B - Brake Lever

  1. Disengage the tractor PTO, shut off the tractor engine, and disconnect the monitor-controller power plug from the tractor convenience outlet.

  2. Open the net cover.

  3. Pull lever (B) out and back to disengage roller brake band (A).

  4. Do not cut net wrapping material from the rubber feed roll. Any knife cuts in the rubber roll covering can result in more frequent wrapping around the rolls and can require roller replacement.

To avoid the net hood from binding or having difficulty opening, do not close the hood with the brake lever released.

Pull net wrapping material away from the supply roll and steel roll. Cut net wrap material. Remove and discard all of the wrapping material, including all strings and staples.

Wipe off rubber drive roll and check for any sticky material. If necessary, roll can be washed with soap and water. Never use solvents to clean the rubber roll. Allow rolls to dry before threading or wrappage can occur again.

  6. Thread the net wrap material. (See Thread and Route Net Wrap Material in Preparing Baler for Net Wrap section.)

  7. If static electricity or dampness causes net wrap material to cling to the rolls, dust the rubber drive roller with oil dry.
