Adjusting Grass Collector Full Sensor

  1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

    Use two handles (A) to raise hopper assembly (B) onto back portion of support arms, and leave hopper assembly open at an approximate 20° angle (C).

    NOTE: There are seven sensitivity settings for adjusting the hopper fill switch.



  3. NOTE: There are detent settings for each position, so each position will seat into place as you are moving lever.

    Grasp lever (A) at top of lever (B) and rotate lever fully down to position 1 or fully upward into position 7:

    • Place hopper fill switch lever into position 1 when grass is very green and thick or when grass is wet. If the chute plugs, move the lever to a higher setting.
    • Place hopper fill switch lever in position 7 when grass is brown and sparse or when grass is very dry. If hopper does not fill completely, move the lever to a lower setting.



When properly adjusted, the alarm will sound and the indicator light will illuminate when the collector is filled to an optimal level and the discharge chute does not clog.
