Removing and Installing the Battery


Removing

  1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

  2. Rotate operator seat forward.

  3. Remove battery compartment cover.

    Disconnect negative (-) battery cable (A).


  5. Push red cover (B) away from positive (+) battery terminal and remove cable (C) from battery.

  6. Remove battery.


Installing

  1. Place battery into battery tray as shown.

  2. Connect positive (+) cable to battery first, then negative (-) cable.

  3. Apply general-purpose grease or silicone spray to terminals to help prevent corrosion.

  4. Slide red cover over positive battery terminal.

  5. Install battery compartment cover.

  6. Lower operator seat.
