Adjusting Auger Swing

NOTE: The retracted swing cylinder is the stop for the auger. DO NOT use the stud (C) as a stop. The stud is intended ONLY to aid in absorbing vertical load of the auger in transport position.

Swing auger all of the way in.

The gap between plate (A) and stop (B) should be 12 to 16 mm (1/2 to 5/8 in.) when stud (C) is in hole (D).

If the gap is incorrect, adjust cylinder rod end (A). Loosen jam nut (B) and set screw (C). Screw cylinder rod in or out to obtain correct gap. Cylinder rod must be completely retracted.

Tighten jam nut and set screw.

NOTE: Applying grease on pivot pin securing rod end and swinging auger in and out may aid in determining gap.

If hydraulic cylinder is completely retracted and correct gap cannot be obtained by adjusting the cylinder rod end, it may be necessary to adjust the stud by loosening hardware and adjusting the stud mounting plate.
