Power Unplugging of Single Tine Separator

Shut off separator.

Note setting of the concave and then adjust concave to wide open position.

Shut off engine, set park brake and remove key.

Shift single tine separator drive gear case to neutral.

Remove belt tension from feed accelerator drive by pushing lever up and out from notch in bracket.

Open stone trap and clean. Leave stone trap open.

Sound horn, start engine and set engine speed at low idle.

Engage separator to clean out material from the discharge beater.

Adjust single tine separator variable belt to mid range.

Shut off separator.

Shut off engine, set park brake and remove key.

Shift single tine separator drive gear case to low speed.

Sound horn, start engine and set engine speed at mid idle.

IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to engine PTO gear case and wet clutch, do not engage separator clutch with a plugged single tine separator more than three times in a period of three minutes.

Engage separator to clear separator. If the plug does not clear, disengage the separator.

If the separator cannot be power unplugged, it will be necessary to remove the concaves and grates and remove some the straw by hand. After clearing the plug, replace the concaves and grates.

After single tine separator is unplugged, close the stone trap and set concave spacing back to the original setting.

Engage feed accelerator drive by pushing the lever up and into the notch in bracket.

If originally operating in high speed, shift single tine separator gear case to the high speed position. Adjust the single tine separator speed back to the original setting.

Resume operation.
