Replacing Chopper Belt

CAUTION: Shut off engine, set park brake and remove key.

Remove tension on the discharge beater drive belt idler (A). Remove beater belt (B) from the chopper drive jackshaft sheave to allow removal of the chopper belt.

Release chopper drive belt tension.

Remove quick-lock pin (A) and pull arm (B) away and up to release belt tension.

Install quick-lock pin to hold arm in the loose belt position (C).

Remove belt from sheaves (A), (B) and (C).

Install new belt.

Remove quick lock pin and move lever arm down to add belt tension.

Install quick-lock pin. Adjust belt idler tension spring to the gauge.

Reinstall shield and beater belt. Adjust beater belt idler tension spring to the gauge.
