Power Shutdown Procedure
NOTE:
The power shutdown procedure is recommended only when acceptable loss levels cannot be achieved after performing the Combine Performance Check.
1.
Operate the machine to fill separator and losses are obtained.
2.
Put engine into low throttle position. When engine rpm reaches 1200 rpm on the tachometer, turn key to the off position.
3.
Disengage the header and separator switches and immediately restart engine to allow for turbocharger lubrication.
4.
After 30 to 60 seconds shut off engine, set park brake and remove key.
5.
Check cleaning shoe for even material loading and distribution. Inspecting for grain quality, unthreshed and free grain loss before making any adjustments.
6.
Once you have decided what adjustments need to be made, follow procedure in the flow chart. Open the concave and engage the separator (this will avoid undue stress to the separator drive).
7.
Adjust the machine settings one at a time to the desired performance.
8.
Once acceptable performance is obtained, calibrate the VISIONTRAK
™
Performance Monitor and continue to harvest.
