IMPORTANT: Remove pipe plug and install grease fitting. Pump 40 to 45 shots of grease into fitting. DO NOT OVER GREASE. Remove grease fitting and reinstall pipe plug.

Single Tine Separator Variable Driver Sheave. Close sheaves (high speed) before greasing at pipe plug in outer sheave hub. Rotate sheave for pipe plug access. Cycle cylinder speed to distribute grease if drive is operated at high speed all the time.

1. Unloading Auger Lower Gear Case Bearing. Lube one fitting.

2. Unloading Auger Upper Gear Case. Lube one fitting.

3. Header/Reel Drive Pump Drive Sheave Bearing. Lube one fitting.

4. Feed Accelerator Bearing. Lube one fitting.

1. Separator Countershaft U-Joint Driveshaft Slip Spline. Rotate to access fitting.

2. Chopper/Unloading Driveshaft Bearing. Rotate sheave to access fitting in bottom of sheave groove.

3. Chopper Rotor Bearings. Lube one fitting (both sides).

4. Chopper and Discharge Beater Countershaft Bearings. Lube two fittings.

1. Final Drive Outer Bearing. Lube one fitting (both sides). When operating in mud or water lube at 10 hours.

2. Cleaning Fan Shaft Bearings (both sides). Lube one fitting.

3. Rear Axle (both sides). Lube one fitting on power steering rod end ball joint.

4. Spreader Disk (both sides). Lubricate one fitting to prevent hubs from corroding to shafts.

1. Discharge Beater Bearing (both sides). Lube one fitting.

2. Tailings Drive Slip Clutch. Rotate sheave assembly for fitting access. Do not over grease.

3. Right-Hand Side Lube Bank. Lubricate primary countershaft bearing (A) and STS separator bearing (B).

4. Feed Accelerator Bearing. Rotate sheaves for access to fitting.

5. Conveyor Auger Drive Slip Clutch. Rotate sheave assembly for fitting access. DO NOT OVER GREASE.

A-Brake Fluid Reservoir Cap

IMPORTANT: Inspect seat belt and mounting hardware on your machine at least once a year. If seat belt system, including the mounting hardware, buckle, belt or retractor, shows any sign of damage or unusual wear, discoloration, or abrasion the entire seat belt should be replaced

immediately. For your safety, replace the seat belt system with replacement parts approved for your machine. See your John Deere dealer.

1. Seat belt. Inspect.

2. Brake Fluid Reservoir. Look through cap (A). Add brake fluid to within 6 mm (1/4 in.) from top. Do not let dirt get into brake fluid.

3. Primary Countershaft Gearcase Oil Level. Check oil level at dipstick (A). Add oil as needed.

D-Engine PTO Gearcase Filter

1. Transmission. Remove plug (A) and check level. Add oil as needed until within 12 mm (1/2 in.) of bottom of hole.

NOTE: It is not necessary to drain system when installing filters.

2. Hydro Charge Filter (B). Remove filter, coat seal with oil and install new filter. Hand tighten then tighten 1/2 turn more.

3. Main Hydraulic Filter (C). Remove filter, coat seal with oil and install new filter. Hand tighten then tighten 1/2 turn more.

4. Engine PTO Gearcase Filter (D). Remove filter, coat seal with oil and install new filter. Hand tighten then tighten 1/2 turn more.

A-Dipstick

1. Loading Auger Gearcase. Check dipstick and add oil as needed.

2. STS Two Speed Drive. Remove dipstick (A) and check oil level. Oil level should be in between grooves on dipstick. Add oil as needed.

3. Batteries. Clean top of batteries and check level in each cell. Fill to bottom of filler neck with distilled water if needed.

Clean and tighten connections, if needed.

Wipe batteries with damp cloth. When finished, destroy cloth.

4. Final Drives. Remove plug (B) and check level (both sides). Oil should be within 12 mm (1/2 in) of bottom of hole. Add oil as needed.
