Cylinder Speed
Yellow light on and buzzer sounds steadily if rpm drops to less than 80 % of current setting of cylinder speed. Engine must be running, header drive must be on, and cylinder drive must be above 90 rpm to work.
When the light and buzzer come on, stop engine and check for plugging. The sensor behind the cylinder sheave should be a half turn from contacting the tone wheel. If the light still stays on, see your John Deere dealer.
NOTE:
Cylinder speed light will not come on when reducing engine speed to low idle. Engine speed must be steady when cylinder speed drops for warning light to come on.
