Cold Weather Starting With Ether Starting Aid

CAUTION: Avoid personal injury and damage to the engine. Inject fluid only while engine is turning.

Turn key switch to start engine. As soon as the engine starts to turn over, press ether starting aid button (A). Release the key after engine starts.

If temperature is below -12°C (20°F), hold ether button down for two or three seconds after engine starts. Repeat procedure until engine runs without faltering.

IMPORTANT: To assure proper lubrication, operate engine at low speed, 1200 rpm, with no load for one to two minutes. Extend this period to two to four minutes when operating at temperatures below freezing.
