Adjusting Row Unit Skid ShoesProper position of skid shoes depends on the shape of row hill and the height of crop to be cut. Adjust skid shoes up to cut stalks short. Adjust skid shoes down to cut stalks long. Raise row-crop head to maximum height and lower hydraulic cylinder safety stop. Remove cap screws (A). Move skid shoe (B) to desired position. Retain with cap screws. Repeat for each row unit.
