1. Loosen all outer and inner gathering sheet adjusting bolts (A).

2. Open gatherer sheets and release tension on each row unit float spring. Loosen nuts (A) to release tension from row unit float spring.

3. Remove nuts and cap screws (A) holding center gatherer point supports together.

4. Pull cotter pin (A), drilled pins and height sensing actuating rod (B). Repeat on all actuating rods.

5. Loosen nuts (A) row unit and clamping bolts.

6. Remove two cap screws (B) from each drive shaft coupler.

7. Remove bolts in rubber seal (C).

8. (Not Illustrated) Working from the center out, slide each row unit to desired row spacing. Do not tighten nuts on clamping bolts at this time.

9. Align holes in each coupler with holes in drive shafts (D). Insert and tighten cap screws.

10. Replace bolts in rubber seal.

11. Torque nuts on row unit and clamping bolts to specification.

12. Adjust each row unit float spring as follows:

Loosen lock nut (A).

Turn adjusting bolt (B) until row unit begins to raise from lower stop or can be pushed upward easily (row unit should return freely to lower stop).

Tighten lock nut.

13. (Not Illustrated) Close gatherer sheets.

14. Align height sensing actuating rods (A) with correct hole for row spacing being used. Install height sensing actuating rods with cotter pins (B).

15. Readjust automatic header height control linkages. (See "ADJUSTING HEIGHT SENSING ACTUATING RODS").

16. Adjust clearance between inner gatherer sheets to specification.

6 mm

(1/4 in.)

Tighten screws (A).

17. (Not Illustrated) Adjust outer gatherer sheets for desired row spacing and tighten hardware.

18. (Not Illustrated) Readjust center gatherer point supports. Adjust point sheets at adjusting slots as wide as possible without stressing sheets.
