Attaching Row-Crop Head (S/N 685XXX - ) to 50 Series Combines
IMPORTANT:
Lock pin (A) (both sides) must be moved in before attaching header. Move pin by sliding handle (B) in and up. If pins are left in the out position, feeder house will be damaged when header is attached.
NOTE:
If belt pickup or platform was used prior to using corn head, pressure line and return line for belt pickup or reel drive must be connected together on the feeder house.
The following changes should also be done before attaching the corn head to the combine, adjust feeder conveyor "Float", adjust feeder conveyor drive chain on variable speed feeder house, add steering wheel weights, adjust front wheel spacing, adjust straw chopper knives (if equipped), tighten straw spreader drive belt (if so equipped), use recommended sieve and chaffer, install cylinder filler plates and install perforated parts (attachments). See your combine operator's manual.
Sound horn, start engine and lower feeder house.
