Adjusting Rotary Knife Sections

For a good cut and to keep wear of stationary knife blade (A) and rotary knife (B) sections to a minimum, the highest rotary knife section must contact the stationary knife evenly.
IMPORTANT:
When knife sections are replaced, there must not be more than 0.2 mm (0.008-in.) clearance at the highest section.

Check cutting surfaces of each rotary knife section. Clearance between highest knife section and stationary knife must be within specifications

If clearance is too much, slotted nut on rotary knife must be tightened or shim stationary knife with H100293 as required to bring clearance to specification. See your John Deere dealer for purchase of H100293.
