Beginning of Season Service
1.
Clean head thoroughly.
2.
Adjust gathering belts and check tension.
3.
Adjust chains to proper tension.
4.
Lubricate head completely.
5.
Go over complete head and see that all bolts are tight and cotter pins are spread.
6.
Run head at half-speed for a few minutes. Check bearings for overheating or excessive looseness.
7.
Review your operator's manual.
