Crop Lifter Installation

1. Drive combine and platform onto a solid flat surface. Mount one lifter in the center of the platform.

NOTE: A special spool nut is used as the rear mount for the lifter. It is installed once (long hex portion down) and left in place whether the crop lifters are being used or not.

The spool nuts and crop lifters must be installed on the long guard points which are directly in line with a guard mount bolt. This enables crop lifters to be installed one foot from each end and every foot in between.

2. Remove existing nut (A) from guard mount.

3. Install spool nut (B) with long hex portion down.

IMPORTANT: It is very important to achieve proper adjustment of the crop lifter. Failure to set properly will lead to poor performance and/or guard or lifter damage.

NOTE: Before installing the lifters, all draper platform adjustments (tilt, level, height) must be set while mounted to the combine to be used.

4. Remove retaining clip (C) from crop lifter.

5. Install crop lifter (A) onto spoon nut (B) as shown.

6. Lift the front point of the crop lifter and install retaining clip (C) in the center hole.
