Center Draper Belt Replacement

1. Lower platform on to a set of blocks.

2. Raise reel and lower cylinder safety stops (A) both ends of reel.

3. Remove combine from platform.

4. Loosen belt tensioner (A).

5. Roll center belt until belt connector (A) is on top.

6. Remove lock nuts (B) and connector bars (A).

7. Remove draper belt from platform, by pulling belt upward at rear drive roller and rear of side belt idler rollers.

8. Install draper belt with rib (A) aligned with slots (B and C).

IMPORTANT: Connector bars are positioned on belt with rounded edges down and bolt heads facing direction of travel. Improper connector installation could greatly reduce belt life.

9. Position connector bars on draper belt, install lock nuts (B) and tighten to specification.

Specification

Connector Bar Screws -Torque 10 N·m (89 lb-in.)

10. Tighten belt tensioner (A) until spring end casting is one inch (B) inside of outside edge of guard.

Specification

Belt Tensioner Spring-To-Outside Edge Of Guard -Distance 25 mm (1 in.)

11. Install platform on combine and check operation of center draper belt, recheck belt tensioner to ensure proper tension is still applied to belt.
