Crop Lifter Adjustments

IMPORTANT: For the crop lifter to function properly, the bottom of the arm surface must be parallel to the ground when the platform is in the cutting position. Failure to set properly will lead to poor performance and/or guard or lifter damage.

NOTE: If the platform tilt adjustment is in an extreme position, proper crop lifter orientation may not be achievable. Readjust the platform tilt to a more normal setting.

Lower the platform until the lifter is just off the surface of the ground. In this position, the lifter arm portion between (A) and (B) should be parallel to the ground as shown. If it is not, change the position of the retainer clip (C) until the correct orientation is achieved.

IMPORTANT: Never operate a crop lifter with the point angled downward (A). The crop lifter will dig into the ground and damage could result.

Operating the crop lifter with an extreme downward angle (A) will cause the lifter to dig into the ground.

Change the position of the retainer clip (B) until the correct orientation is achieved.

Operating the crop lifter with an extreme upward angle (A) will reduce lifting performance and may cause the lifter to climb over the down crop.

Change the position of the retainer clip (B) until the correct orientation is achieved.
