Harvesting in Short, Thin Crops
Use nominal tilt adjuster length of 493 mm (19 1/2 in.). If necessary, lengthen tilt adjuster slightly to give cut crop more exposure to belts. Operate feed drum with fingers rotated clockwise (when viewed from the right-hand end of the platform) to better grab the small crop flow. Position the reel low and above the knife and front area of the belt to assist the crop onto the belts. Slide side belts to the inner position in short, thin crops conditions.
