Left-Hand End Guard Replacement

1. Position knife section points between the guard points.

2. Remove left-hand knife shield bolts (C) to access rock guard bolts.

3. To remove end rock guard (A), first remove rock guard (B) and reinforcement strap.

NOTE: Clean all surfaces.

4. Slide guard (A) towards center of machine and remove.

5. Replace worn or damaged rock guard.

6. Install reinforcement strap and tighten rock guard bolts while pushing rearward on guards to insure guards are fully back and wear bar is parallel to front of cutterbar.

NOTE: A good fit is required between the knife guard and shield to minimize the amount of crop material which enters the area at the knife and under the dividers.

7. Install left-hand knife shield.

IMPORTANT: Contact between knife and shield will cause shield damage.

8. Cycle knife manually to make sure no contact between knife and shield exists. If contact exists, loosen bolts and reposition shield as required to eliminate contact.
