Side Draper Belt Replacement

If side or center draper belts become severely torn or damaged, replacement is recommended.

1. Start engine, raise reel lift cylinders and support platform. Place blocking under frame and left-hand and right-hand row dividers.

2. Shut off engine and lower reel safety stops (A), both sides of platform.

NOTE: Procedure to remove right-hand draper belt is illustrated. Procedure to remove left-hand and center belt are similar.

3. Loosen right-hand spring tensioner (B).

4. Manually position belt connector to top.

NOTE: Hardware used with bars are ribbed neck screws, and lock nuts.

6. Remove lock nuts (A), cap screws and connector bars (B).

7. Remove end cover (C).

8. Open right-side front divider.

9. Remove carriage bolts (D) and seal.

10. Remove cap screws (A) and sump pan (B) in front of the center belt (see Adjustments - Feeding Related section).

11. Slide belt toward center of platform and remove.

12. Install belt with rib of belt towards rear of platform. Align rib with groove in roller and guide (A).

IMPORTANT: Rounded edges (B) of connector center splice bars face down and toward each other. Failure to comply may cause damage to belt and platform.

13. Install connector bars (C). Tighten screws to specification.

14. Install sump pan (A) and retain with cap screws (B).

15. Install end seal (C).

16. Close front divider and install right-hand end cover (D).

17. Adjust belt tension. Tighten screw (A) until spring (C) is the same length as gauge (B).
