Combining Soybeans - Flex Platforms

Use ACTIVE HEADER CONTROL (AHC) ™ setpoint in the lower 1/3 of bar graph. (See ACTIVE HEADER CONTROL (AHC) ™ Operation Section of this Manual). This position provides the maximum use of the float range, the lowest cut, and the best feeding.

Dry Conditions

In very dry conditions, the platform can climb up and over stiff soybean stubble missing low growing beans. Adjust as follows:

Adjust cutterbar tilt so front of skid shoes are tilted down and cutterbar is straight.

Soft or Wet Conditions

In soft or wet conditions, platform may push or plow dirt because of too much ground pressure.

Adjust cutterbar tilt so skid shoes are level or the front is tilted up and cutterbar is straight.

To avoid pushing of the left-hand skid shoe, bolt (B) may need to be turned in.

Readjust range indicator (if so equipped).

Adjust ACTIVE HEADER CONTROL (AHC) ™ control dial for light ground pressure in Header Height Sensing mode. Soft conditions may require the setpoint to be moved to the middle or top of the bar graph on the display.
