Manual Adjusting of Pickup Reel-Fore/Aft

CAUTION: Engine must be off and key removed before working on reel.

NOTE: Reel is easier to move if support arms are level.

Raise reel and lower safety stops (A) on both sides.

Remove pin (B) on both sides, slide reel as needed and insert pins. Position both ends of reel evenly on the support arms. Rotate reel by hand to check for clearance with auger flighting and knife.

Forward position of pickup reel on flex platform is limited by the divider points. Check for clearance by moving dividers up and down while turning reel by hand. Inner cover can be removed from divider to allow additional forward movement of reel.

IMPORTANT: Keep 38 mm (1-1/2 in.) minimum clearance between tips of reel fingers and cutterbar; less clearance can result in cut off fingers.

Keep 38 mm (1-1/2 in.) minimum clearance between reel bat tube and auger fingers across entire width of platform.

Make sure to keep reel fingers out of ground or they will take a permanent set.
